I am delighted to work alongside this business - a construction company that designs, constructs, and manages buildings for specialist industries including commercial, defence, and energy. They have a large stream of work happening throughout the course of the next 2 - 3 years and subsequently, need to expand the team. Working across a variety of sectors, specifically, this QS role will sit in the Defence team so working on projects for the MOD, MOJ, typically ranging in value from £1M - £10M.

Key Duties:

  • Obtaining tenders, budgeting, managing projects, liaising with clients and suppliers.
  • To maintain a high level of commercial awareness, communication and to work within a small team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ensure that projects stay within budget and maximise the profit margin.
  • Preparing contract documents.
  • Procurement of Subcontract and Supply packages.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years post graduate experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying Role.
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent).
  • To be able to work under pressure, be commercially aware and be confident in liaising with clients and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of JCT and NEC.
