We are currently recruiting for Production Operators to join a busy manufacturing site near Somerset. The site operates a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights and supplies products directly to an on‑site customer. This role requires previous production or machine‑operating experience; full training will be provided.

Location and Schedule

  • Location: Somerset
  • Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off – 12 hour shifts (Days & Nights)
  • Salary: £30,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure output meets required quality standards
  • Carrying out routine checks for visual defects, weights, and tolerances, completing associated paperwork accurately
  • Performing basic mechanical adjustments, fault finding, and minor remedial work within your level of competence
  • Supporting production line changeovers, cleaning, realignment, and general equipment setup
  • Ensuring a consistent supply of materials to the production line and escalating any issues to supervision promptly
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and food‑safe working practices
  • Working safely at all times and following site health & safety procedures

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment
  • Exposure to machinery, production lines, or automated processes is advantageous
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in production equipment
  • Ability to work a rotating days and nights shift pattern
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
