Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning activities across LV electrical distribution and power systems.
- Commission transformers, switchboards, UPS systems, and large battery installations.
- Apply nuclear, electrical, and industrial safety requirements during commissioning activities.
- Manage commissioning documentation, configuration control, and technical records accurately.
- Analyze test results and resolve technical deviations with stakeholders.
- Support commissioning hold points and nuclear safety compliance requirements.
- Coordinate activities with mechanical, process, and I&C commissioning teams.
- Conduct system walkdowns, punch-list closure, and readiness verification activities.
- Capture operational experience feedback to support continuous programme improvement.
- Support development of junior engineers and commissioning technicians onsite.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong commissioning experience within highly regulated industrial environments.
- Knowledge of LV electrical systems, testing, installation, and maintenance.
- Understanding of electrical isolation, switching procedures, and safety rules.
- Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671 standards.
- Experience working within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Ability to work confidently within dynamic and high-security environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with proactive and collaborative working approach.
- IOSH accreditation and Behavioural Safety Programme certification advantageous.
