Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting Mechanical Installation Engineers / Mechanical Fitters for a new‑build commercial project in Bridgend.
This is a 4‑6 week contract opportunity for experienced mechanical installation professionals with a valid CSCS Card.
You will assist the client's Site Supervisors and Site Installation Engineers with the installation of a theatre counterweight system.
The work will primarily be carried out from birdcage scaffolding alongside an experienced installation team.
- Key Duties
- Install steelwork, guide tracks and general mechanical equipment, including support brackets.
- Assemble and install counterweight cradles and associated mechanical components.
- Install head blocks, loft blocks, wire ropes and steel wire ropes.
- Align and secure mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble and secure equipment.
- Work safely from birdcage scaffolding and follow all site safety procedures.
- Assist with general mechanical installation activities as directed by the Site Supervisor.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card - essential.
- Previous mechanical installation experience.
- Comfortable working at height from birdcage scaffolding.
- Ability to work safely and follow site procedures.
- Own hand tools and PPE.
- Experience installing steelwork, mechanical equipment or stage engineering systems would be desirable.
