Experienced Operations Manager required to join an established organisation to manage a team of drivers and internal office staff, delivering smooth planning and delivery of the operations and transport functions. This position will pay between £50,000 - £55,000, working Monday - Friday. Please note there is no hybrid working.

Ideally the candidate will have previous waste experience, preferably NEBOSH qualification as well as COTC and Transport Manager CPC.

Duties:
  • Oversee maintenance, fleet, drivers and administrative staff effectively managing operations and transport
  • Effectively manage the operations team, whilst supporting with workloads and route planning
  • Responsible for full accident investigations
  • Ensure QHSE is integrated across all sites to meet regulatory compliance, protect employee well-being, minimise environmental impact, and deliver consistent high-quality services

Experience required:
  • Operations Management experience
  • Strong leadership, business strategy, project planning and negotiation skills
  • Health & Safety knowledge and experience

  • Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
  • PC literate with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
