We are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical repairs and installations within domestic properties. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a first-time fix standard while remaining fully compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance to a high standard, aiming for first-time fix standard.
- Diagnose faults and undertake rewiring of domestic electrical systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Liaise effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear updates on progress and actions.
- Escalate more complex issues to senior staff where required.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and BS7671 standards, including proper use of PPE.
- Interpret drawings and specifications to plan work and source required materials.
- Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance.
- Support planned works including full rewires, kitchen and bathroom electrical installations in occupied and void properties.
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required.
- Maintain company vehicle, carrying out routine safety checks and reporting defects.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with experience in social housing.
- Relevant qualifications such as:
- City & Guilds 2391
- City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2, 2351 or 2330 (Level 2 & 3), or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
