We are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical repairs and installations within domestic properties. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a first-time fix standard while remaining fully compliant with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance to a high standard, aiming for first-time fix standard.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake rewiring of domestic electrical systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Liaise effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear updates on progress and actions.
  • Escalate more complex issues to senior staff where required.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and BS7671 standards, including proper use of PPE.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to plan work and source required materials.
  • Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Support planned works including full rewires, kitchen and bathroom electrical installations in occupied and void properties.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required.
  • Maintain company vehicle, carrying out routine safety checks and reporting defects.

Requirements

  • Qualified Electrician with experience in social housing.
  • Relevant qualifications such as:
  • City & Guilds 2391
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2, 2351 or 2330 (Level 2 & 3), or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • Previous apprenticeship or equivalent practical training.
  • Strong working knowledge of the current BS7671 regulations.
  • Experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning of installations.
  • City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel efficiently between sites.
  • Good IT skills and strong customer service ability.
