Our client has an opportunity for a Technical Administrator to join them on a contract basis in Bolton for 12 months. The main focus of the role will be to manage all parts used in the calibration & maintenance of bespoke test systems on site. This will need to be managed in our SAP system.

Role Details

  • Location: Bolton, fully onsite
  • Hours: 37 per week
  • Clearance: BPSS required before starting, full SC to follow
  • Hourly Rate: £22.17-£24.19 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing technical administration support to the ESS & Mechanical Team to ensure programmes are met to agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
  • Managing Spares from COTS (commercial off the shelf) down to components such as ICs, connector savers & service kits.
  • Creating calibration and service kits and redeploying them back into our stock holding.
  • Creating material masters with our SAP management system.
  • Working with engineers to ascertain min/max quantity levels.
  • Organising current stock and performing regular stock taking.
  • Ordering new stock.
  • Using Jira to notify people of where items are up to.
  • Assisting the Control Team Lead in the management of critical spares.
  • Liaising with relevant Engineering functions to determine their requirements.
  • Deploying critical spares packages and managing calibration requirements to minimise downtime to production.
  • Providing SAP training and producing documentation for calibration and maintenance specific activities for the control team.

Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of managing spares.
  • Working knowledge of the SAP (Systems Applications and Products in data processing) enterprise resource planning system.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in creating and managing material masters and min/max levels.
  • Whilst not essential, a good understanding of calibration principles and processes would be beneficial.
  • The ability to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • An awareness of budgetary management would be useful.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but not essential.
