A growing transport planning and highways consultancy is seeking a Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner to join its Birmingham office. This role is suited to candidates with UK consultancy experience in development-focused transport planning, including preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, junction modelling, and highways development projects.

The role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of residential, commercial, mixed-use and infrastructure schemes within a collaborative and growing consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- Development and coordination of Travel Plans
- Preparation of technical reports, drawings, and supporting data
- Junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
- Liaison with clients, contractors, and local authorities
- Delivery of high-quality outputs on time and within budget
- Review and checking of junior team outputs
- Support and mentoring of junior staff
- Contribution to project delivery from feasibility through to detailed design
- Site visits, surveys, and data collection
- Preparation of written reports and presentations
- Maintaining accurate project documentation
- Supporting the growth of the Birmingham office
Qualification Requirements
- Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 2-5 years UK Transport Planning experience
- CIHT membership (or working towards)
