Our Tax Assurance & Risk Management (TA&RM) team is a fast-growing, collaborative group of around 15 professionals led by three dedicated tax partners. We serve a broad range of private, private-equity-backed and listed clients across sectors, helping them meet legislative tax governance compliance obligations, improve tax operations and manage tax risk. Technology and innovation are integral to our success, and we recognise and reward contributions that drive value for clients and the firm.
This dynamic client-facing role requires excellent client relationship, communication and project management skills, and the ability to distil complex concepts into clear, actionable information. You will actively manage client portfolios, deliver projects, coordinate junior resources and BDO tax specialists, and provide exceptional service. Owning client relationships with senior partners, you will also support business development and innovation activities to grow the firm.
Qualifications & Experience
- Act as a key point of contact within the firm for clients, working closely with the senior team.
- Experience of TA&RM work, including tax strategy, SAO and CCO compliance, HMRC Business Risk Reviews, developing the tax control framework and tax operating model, and advising on tax risk management such as tax risk registers.
- Strong presentation style and confidence in hosting workshops, training sessions and webinars, often to Board level, with deep tax technical knowledge across a range of issues.
- Experience in end-to-end project delivery, capable of leading complex projects to provide high-quality advice.
- Keenness to help clients develop tax governance and to design bespoke scopes of work that meet their specific needs.
- Personal responsibility for own decisions and the actions of team members.
- Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent experience.
