What you will be doing

Commercial

  • Understand building contract types and key project stakeholders (client, design team, etc.)
  • Comprehensive scope understanding for each sub-contractor package
  • Liaise with PM and PQS on works not within scope

Operational

  • Issue permits and close out activities
  • Order materials/equipment and coordinate with project quantity surveyor
  • Manage provisions/diversion/upgrade/protection works and coordinate with utility companies
  • Apply for permits to Highways Authority, utility companies for temporary building services
  • Manage off-site Highways works and liaise with relevant parties

Quality

  • Raise NCRs for poor quality works
  • Ensure sub-contractors issue inspection and test plans (ITP) and close out accordingly
  • Compile snagging lists and manage close-out processes

Health & Safety

  • Understand duties under Health & Safety/CDM legislation and ensure compliance on projects
  • Act as temporary works coordinator (where applicable)
  • Verify labour-only sub-contractors have suitable method statements and risk assessments

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Proven track record in safe delivery of high-quality medium to large scale projects on budget and programme
  • Experience in commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment and/or new build
  • CSCS/CSR card
  • SMSTS qualified
  • Experience with temporary works procedures
  • Teamworking ability
  • Ability to produce short-term programmes
  • Flexible and willing to travel within UK & Ireland
  • First Aid at Work (desirable)
