Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for looking at engineering performance, ensuring machinery, systems & service operate efficiently and effectively
- Reviewing and developing new PPM's and leading continuous improvement activities
- Machine condition monitoring and asset care management
- Identifying obsolete spares/parts, liaising with suppliers & OEM's
- Work closely with shift engineers to identify problems before they happen and suggest improvements
- Carry out RCA investigations and present weekly KPIs & performance updates
- Manage plant overhauls, planning weekly shutdown schedules & contractor control
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Previous experience of being a hands‑on maintenance engineer would be beneficial
- Must have worked in food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally in a 24/7 operation
- Experience in a similar asset care, reliability, continuous improvement engineering role
- Must be NVQ Level 3 or higher qualified in engineering, ideally with an apprenticeship
- Strong problem solver, able to think outside the box and suggest improvements
- Good at assessing PPM's and creating new ones
- Excellent communicator – working closely with engineers, contractors, suppliers, OEM's
- Project engineering experience would be great
- Strong machine condition monitoring & RCA experience
