A well-established and highly respected engineering and fabrication business based in Birmingham is recruiting an experienced MIG Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team.
This is a hands-on fabrication position suited to someone who is confident working from engineering drawings and producing high-quality fabricated products to customer specifications. You will be involved in the fabrication and MIG welding of a variety of bespoke and batch-produced components, working as part of a close-knit and experienced team.
Duties:- MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components
- Working from engineering and fabrication drawings
- Measuring, marking out and assembling fabricated parts
- Cutting, grinding and finishing materials
- Using workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets required standards
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
- Previous experience as a MIG Welder/Fabricator
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working with mild steel fabrication
- Competent using fabrication machinery and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable and able to work independently
- £15.00 - £18.50 per hour DOE
- Permanent days position
- Early finish every Friday
- Overtime available
