The Role
We are seeking a Fire Door Site Supervisor / Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of fire door installation and renewal works across multiple sites. This is a client-facing, fully off-the-tools role requiring strong organisation, compliance awareness, and the ability to manage teams and programmes effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple fire door projects
- Oversee operatives and subcontractors delivering installation and remedial works
- Ensure all works are completed in line with compliance standards and fire safety regulations
- Carry out site inspections, quality checks, and spot checks of installations
- Ensure accurate data input and reporting through internal systems
- Manage site setup, stock control, deliveries, and site logistics
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain health & safety standards
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Attend pre-start meetings and represent the business professionally on site
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to the Project Manager
- Identify variations and escalate where required
- Support sign-off and close-out of works
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Site Manager within fire doors or passive fire protection
- Strong technical knowledge of fire door installation, remedials, and compliance standards
- Experience managing multiple sites and teams
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Experience working within social housing or occupied environments
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
Certifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Knowledge of BM TRADA, FIRAS, or similar standards
- Experience with digital reporting systems
