An award-winning M&E / Mechanical and Electrical Contractor is seeking an Electrical Estimator / Senior Electrical Estimator for the West Midlands office. The role includes onsite visits whilst offering a hybrid working model.

Scope of Work

The candidate will work on containment installation schemes ranging between £10M and £20M+, with the potential to handle larger schemes. Typical projects include data centres, warehouses, hospitals, distribution centres and industrial sheds built for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed and completed tenders including installation times.
  • Review projects post-completion for quality and accuracy to inform future tenders.
  • Generate accurate take-offs/measures of tenders and use estimating software to fully understand the prime cost.
  • Vet suppliers and subcontract enquiries, work with specialist subcontractors, and assess quotations.
  • Maintain up-to-date market knowledge on pricing, competition and workload to produce competitive estimates.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Commercial and industrial electrical estimating experience, particularly in buildings.
  • Background in fit-out or construction-related estimating is also considered.
  • Experience with data-centre, hospital, distribution-centre and industrial projects preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and methodical approach, capable of working well in a team.
