Role
You will be expected to work within the rail aspects of delivery and associated works with the other disciplines, and to deliver design work safely to the level of quality expected. This role will manage works with a focus on civils at the delivery stage of major projects. It is a construction‑rather than design‑led position. Suitable role for a contractor’s engineering manager with rail civils.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake the role of an engineer on delivery works.
- Act as CEM managing a team of CREs.
- Carry out engineering responsibilities in the project from start to finish.
- Control all onsite technical activities and quality control.
Essential requirements
- Education to HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent suitable experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of civils and related engineering principles, including interfaces between disciplines.
- Previously held CEM status.
- Good knowledge and understanding of standards, processes and procedures.
