This Infrastructure Engineer opportunity in Birmingham offers hands-on project exposure across residential and commercial development schemes nationwide. A leading employee-owned, multi-disciplinary built environment consultancy is strengthening its civil engineering team.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will work on a range of residential, mixed-use and commercial developments, supporting drainage, highways and infrastructure design from planning through to technical approval and construction. The Infrastructure Engineer will liaise with clients, local authorities and internal design teams while delivering approvals and technical packages. This role suits someone with at least two years' UK consultancy experience who is confident working across multiple projects.
Key responsibilities:- Deliver drainage and infrastructure designs for development schemes
- Prepare and secure S38, S278 and S104 approvals
- Produce planning submission packs and technical drawings
- Use Flow or MicroDrainage and Causeway PDS or similar software
- Complete earthworks modelling and groundworks packages
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
- Minimum two years' UK consultancy experience
- Strong knowledge of UK drainage and highways standards
- Experience preparing technical submissions and planning drawings
- Confident communicating with clients and third parties
