Poolhall Recruitment is working with an established but growing, design-led residential developer to appoint an experienced Architect. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team delivering a strong pipeline of residential-led schemes across the West Midlands and beyond. You’ll play a key role across all project stages, contributing to both design and technical delivery within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute across all RIBA work stages
- Develop design proposals from concept through to construction
- Produce and manage detailed drawing packages using Revit
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams
- Prepare and oversee planning applications and technical submissions
- Attend client meetings, design reviews, and site visits
- Ensure design quality, compliance, and technical accuracy
- Support delivery against project programmes and deadlines
Requirements
- Qualified Architect (ARB registered or equivalent)
- Strong experience within a UK architectural practice
- Proven track record in residential developments (mixed-use advantageous)
- Strong design and technical capability with attention to detail
- Good knowledge of UK planning policy and Building Regulations
- Proficient in Revit
- Effective communicator with a collaborative approach
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or SketchUp beneficial
Location & Working Pattern
- Based in the West Midlands, with regular attendance at the Birmingham office required
- Some flexibility for hybrid working, depending on project needs
