The Role
They are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a thriving Building Services team based in Billericay. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, delivering high‑quality electrical engineering design and consultancy services from concept through to completion. You will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and managing electrical systems while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical engineering designs to a high technical standard, within programme and budget requirements.
- Undertake detailed design work and provide technical expertise across multiple projects.
- Develop practical and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
- Meet with clients to establish project briefs and budget expectations.
- Produce detailed specifications, calculations, reports, and technical drawings.
- Review tender submissions and prepare technical recommendations.
- Manage and monitor site works from commencement through to completion.
- Carry out inspections of existing installations and produce condition reports.
- Support project financial management, including forecasting and invoicing.
- Utilise industry‑standard software including Amtech, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary design teams.
About You
- A Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering electrical building services design across a range of projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design software, including Amtech.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Good understanding of current building regulations, industry standards, and engineering best practice.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
