Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure schemes while supporting the continued growth of regional capability. You will play a key role in delivering projects from concept through to completion, balancing technical excellence, commercial awareness, and client engagement. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, contribute to business development activities, and support the mentoring and development of junior engineers.
Core Capabilities
- Technical Delivery & Design: Lead civil engineering design using industry standards and best practice. Produce high-quality technical outputs across drainage, infrastructure, and site development projects.
- Project & Commercial Management: Manage project resources, budgets, and delivery programmes effectively. Support proposals and monitor project profitability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Secure approvals and represent the business professionally across projects.
- Collaboration & Team Development: Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across the UK. Mentor graduates, apprentices, and junior engineers.
- Quality, Safety & Professional Standards: Champion health, safety, and technical excellence. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng).
- Approximately 5–10 years’ industry experience.
- Chartered status, or working towards chartership.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering design standards and best practice.
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
- Proactive approach to professional development and team collaboration.
This is a hybrid role based in Belfast, typically involving 2–3 days per week in the office. Occasional travel across Northern Ireland and Scotland may be required to support projects and collaboration across teams.
