We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Entry‑Level Shift Technician / Trainee Plant Operator to join a modern power facility. No prior power plant experience is required – full training will be provided. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a long‑term career in engineering, energy, or industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to operate and monitor plant systems using DCS/SCADA
  • Support safe and efficient plant operation in line with procedures
  • Carry out routine plant inspections, checks, and readings
  • Respond to alarms and assist with fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and basic repairs
  • Work closely with the Shift Team Leader and experienced technicians
  • Help supervise contractors and ensure adherence to safety procedures
  • Assist with stock control, consumables, and site deliveries
  • Participate in planned and unplanned outages
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation
  • Operate site equipment (e.g. forklift – training provided if required)
  • Develop skills and knowledge to progress into a fully competent Technician
