We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in assembling heavy plant equipment for the construction industry in a manufacturing environment. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of our machinery to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble heavy plant equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, bulldozers and other construction machinery) in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform mechanical fitting tasks such as component installation, alignment, and adjustment to ensure proper functionality and performance of machinery.
  • Use hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and lifting equipment to carry out assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including welders, electricians, and quality control personnel, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into the overall equipment assembly.
  • Conduct quality inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of assembled machinery, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.

Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
