About the Role

We are currently seeking a Commercial Analyst with a Mechanical Engineering or MEP background to join our growing team based in Beaconsfield. This position is ideal for candidates with previous experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor, Mechanical Estimator, Cost Engineer, or Commercial Analyst within construction or engineering environments. The successful candidate will support the commercial and estimating functions across multiple projects, assisting with cost analysis, tender reviews, budgeting, procurement support, and commercial reporting. Experience within Data Centre or MEP projects would be highly advantageous. This is a full-time office-based role working closely with senior commercial, project delivery, and pre-construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial & Financial Support
    • Assist with project cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Support the preparation of commercial reports and financial summaries.
    • Review subcontractor quotations and supplier pricing.
    • Monitor project costs against approved budgets and highlight risks or discrepancies.
    • Support variation tracking and change management processes.
  • Estimating & Quantity Surveying Support
    • Assist with preparation of MEP and Mechanical estimates and tender submissions.
    • Review technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
    • Carry out quantity take-offs and cost comparisons.
    • Support procurement activities and package evaluations.
    • Assist with pricing analysis for labour, materials, and subcontract works.
  • Project Coordination & Reporting
    • Maintain commercial trackers and project documentation.
    • Liaise with project teams, procurement, engineering, and finance departments.
    • Support contract administration and commercial processes.
    • Assist senior commercial staff with ongoing project requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within MEP, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Commercial Analysis.
  • Background within construction, engineering, or mission‑critical projects.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience within Data Centre projects would be advantageous but not essential.
