Position Overview: £15‑£18 an hour (DOE). Working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (Friday finish 3:30 pm). No shifts; overtime paid at 1.5×. Location: Near Birstall, easily reached from the M62 Corridor (Leeds to Huddersfield). The working environment is clean and organised.

Responsibilities:

  • Fitting of mechanical installations incorporating hydraulic/pneumatic components to new vehicles (full training provided).
  • Mounting products to vehicles in accordance with build instructions.
  • Ensuring all products meet all necessary quality requirements.
  • Maintaining all necessary documents and records required by the company quality systems.
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Reporting any defects and quality issues immediately to the production supervisor or quality engineer.
  • Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
  • Reading basic engineering drawings and working with initiative.

Required Experience:

Experience as an apprentice‑trained or semi‑skilled fitter who has worked with plant machinery, vehicles, HGV or PSV fitters, hydraulics engineers, coachbuilders, vehicle technicians, or similar roles.
