Job Overview
- Position: Maintenance Electrician
- Location: Basildon, Essex
- Working Hours: Days and Nights 4 on 4 off – 6am to 6pm
- Salary: Approximately £60,000 per annum (including shift allowance)
- Benefits: Annual KPI Bonus, OT paid at 1.5 and 2x, Competitive Pension, Employee Benefits Package, Training and Career Development Opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring all production targets are maintained.
- Maintain factory manufacturing machinery.
- Monitor and supply engineering support for machine set‑up and change‑overs to ensure product conforms to quality assurance standards and that change‑overs are as efficient as possible.
Qualifications
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship and qualification or equivalent (NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above) – Mechanical or Electrical.
- High degree of health & safety awareness.
- Ability to fault‑find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
- Position suitable for mechanical maintenance engineer, electrical maintenance engineer, maintenance fitter, maintenance electrician, multi‑skilled engineer, etc.
