Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE + Door to Door + Van (personal use permitted @ 40p per mile)

Location: London & Surrounding Areas

Shift: 37.5 hours per week (08:00–16:00)

Overtime: Offered at 1.5x / 2x (minimum 8 hours OT paid for scheduled out-of-hours work)

On Call: 1 in 9 rota (£25 per day standby + overtime rates + Door to Door)

My client is expanding and looking to add a skilled automation engineer to support installation and service work across London and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist automation business delivering high-quality entrance solutions across commercial buildings, healthcare sites, retail environments and public sector projects.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, servicing and maintaining automated door systems
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown work
  • Working with sensors, control panels and safety systems
  • Supporting other automation systems including shutters, gates and bollards (desirable)
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to compliance standards

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with automated door systems (essential)
  • Installation, servicing and maintenance experience required
  • Strong electrical fault-finding ability
  • Knowledge of wider automation systems advantageous
  • Ability to work independently on field-based work
  • Full UK driving licence
