Job Purpose
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Seek and repair electrical faults on the vehicle, including removal and re‑installation of interior/exterior trim to rectify the fault.
- Use diagnostic equipment for re‑testing and verification processes.
- Read and interpret diagnostic equipment output to minimise rework time and costs.
- Report faults back through Level zero PTMS PQS and relevant production/engineering areas.
- Communicate effectively with engineers and suppliers regarding electrical issues.
- Check vehicle specifications to ensure conformance with build requirements and customer options using relevant documentation.
- Store controlled substances and components safely in correct locations.
- Support quality, productivity and process improvement initiatives, e.g. Kaizen and 6‑Sigma.
- Adhere to company safety, housekeeping and discipline standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Completed a full electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent) and possess relevant automotive experience.
- Capable of working to Aston Martin build standards – interior and exterior trim.
- Specialised knowledge of auto electrics, harness manufacture and electronic module diagnostics.
- Ability to read, interpret and work to engineering circuit drawings and process sheets.
- Clean driving licence (Full UK driving licence).
- Good communication skills and general computer understanding.
- Ability to work independently and manage varied workloads.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns, overtime and weekends to achieve production targets.
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday – 6.30 am to 3.30 pm
Friday – 6.30 am to 11.30 am
Shifts may vary depending on business needs.
