Location: Wirral

Salary: £46,825- £51,296 per annum (DOE)

Benefits: 25 days holiday rising to 28 days after 6 years of service plus BH, company performance bonus, one additional day off every 4 weeks, pension scheme up to 16%, private healthcare (individual), life assurance x 7 & Training and development opportunities, including potential international assignments.

Hours: Full Time - Monday - Friday

Shifts: Wk 1 Mon- Thurs (07:00-16:00), Fri (07:00-12:00); Wk 2 Mon-Thurs (08:30-17:30), Fri (08.30-14:30)

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly & Installation Technician to join a highly skilled manufacturing team based at a secure site. This role is ideal for individuals with previous experience in a manufacturing environment who take pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining exceptional standards of safety and accuracy. Working within a highly regulated environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to exacting quality standards while adhering to strict safety and security procedures. Please note you must have DV clearance or ability to obtain it for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex and advanced assembly activities in accordance with established specifications and work instructions.
  • Carry out high-precision calibration and adjustment tasks using specialist testing equipment, including torque wrenches and digital gauges.
  • Monitor the performance and condition of equipment and tooling, reporting any faults or deviations.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly results, inspections and testing activities.
  • Complete pre-use checks on tools and equipment.
  • Record daily production data using computer systems.
  • Work towards weekly production targets and performance objectives.
  • Support and maintain 5S standards within the workplace.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of safety, security and quality.
  • Work within contamination-controlled and radiation-controlled environments.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance, punctuality and flexibility to meet operational requirements.
  • Participate in training, work activities or international assignments at overseas sites when required.
  • Undertake additional duties consistent with the nature and level of the role.

The Person

  • Previous experience within an assembly, engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong manual dexterity and the ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
  • Proven ability to carry out repetitive processes accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable, flexible and proactive with a positive attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance.
