Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automotive Mobile Plant Fitter/Mechanic within a Plant Fleet and Vehicle fleet maintenance company based in the Ashford area. Our Automotive Client needs a Mobile Plant Engineer who is motivated and able to work on their own initiative.

Duties

• Complete service repairs and maintenance ranging from small to heavy vehicles, with a focus on cars, cans & ancillary equipment.
• All visual inspections, adjustment operations, operating fluid changes and additions, and replacement of worn equipment (e.g., brake linings).
• Stripping, fitting, and replacing components on vehicles.
• Ensuring that all jobs run smoothly and deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Motor Trade experience as a Plant Mechanic/HGV Tech/Vehicle Technician is essential.
• Good understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
• Report keeping (internal and legal requirements).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• You own set of tools.

The salary for this Mobile Vehicle Technician role is up to £37,000 basic with an OTE of £40,000.

Hours of work: 47.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
