We are seeking an experienced architect to join our team, based in either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office. The role focuses on the fire safety of external walls, with opportunities to expand into Façade Design, Façade Access, and Structural Fire as experience grows.

Key Responsibilities & Experience

  • 7‑10+ years of experience in building architecture or as an Architect Technologist.
  • Proven experience in producing fire strategy drawings for building projects.
  • Solid background in specifying fire stopping and fire‑rated materials.
  • Experience in detailing facades and ensuring high‑quality design execution.
  • Ideally, some exposure to façade access and related systems.
  • Experience working on projects in Scotland and throughout the UK (although not essential).
  • RIBA 1‑5 project experience, from concept through to completion.
  • Experience with RIBA 05 inspections, particularly to ensure compliance with architectural briefs regarding fire stopping and protection.
  • Experience working on upgrading existing and historic buildings to meet modern fire safety and architectural standards.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design, BREEAM or Passive House standards.
  • Experience in report writing.
