MERITUS are recruiting for an SC Cleared Solution Architect to join our client supporting the delivery of secure, large-scale technology programmes within the Defence and Central Government sector.
Lead solution architecture activities across a range of complex technology projects and programmes.
- Support legacy application modernisation and migration initiatives.
- Produce high-level solution designs, architectural documentation, and technical artefacts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, delivery, and business teams.
- Engage with Defence and Government stakeholders to ensure successful technical delivery.
- Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, scalability, and performance requirements.
- Contribute to architectural governance, standards, and best practice across programmes.
Skills / experience required:
- Strong experience operating as a Solution Architect within Defence, Government, or other secure environments.
- Previous experience working with Army or MOD systems.
- Knowledge of secure development and architecture principles.
- Understanding of OWASP, NCSC Cloud Security Principles, and GDPR.
- Experience delivering complex technology transformation or modernisation programmes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working within SFIA-aligned delivery environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and cloud-based technologies.
- Experience supporting full project lifecycles from requirements through to delivery.
- Understanding of secure hosting, infrastructure, or application environments.
