Role

The role involves product testing for conformance and ensuring adherence to work instructions and quality standards within a high-volume electrical cable manufacturing environment, including one-off or investigative work. Compliance with IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards is required.

Responsibilities

  • Product testing for conformance, including typical tests such as continuity, bonding, and resistance
  • Programming and use of ATEs is desirable
  • Adherence to work instructions and managing non-conforming products
  • Work consists of high-volume electrical cable manufacturing as well as one-off or investigative work
  • Ensure compliance with IPC-610 & 620 standards

Required skills

  • IPC620 - Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
  • Understanding and handling of ESD products
  • Performing electrical inspection verification by use of measurement hand tools such as Digital Volt Multimeters, Ohmmeters
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately
  • Basic problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Desirable

  • IPC610 - Electronic Assembly Standard
  • ATE programming and testing
