The role involves product testing for conformance and ensuring adherence to work instructions and quality standards within a high-volume electrical cable manufacturing environment, including one-off or investigative work. Compliance with IPC-610 and IPC-620 standards is required.
Responsibilities
- Product testing for conformance, including typical tests such as continuity, bonding, and resistance
- Programming and use of ATEs is desirable
- Adherence to work instructions and managing non-conforming products
- Work consists of high-volume electrical cable manufacturing as well as one-off or investigative work
- Ensure compliance with IPC-610 & 620 standards
Required skills
- IPC620 - Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
- Understanding and handling of ESD products
- Performing electrical inspection verification by use of measurement hand tools such as Digital Volt Multimeters, Ohmmeters
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately
- Basic problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Desirable
- IPC610 - Electronic Assembly Standard
- ATE programming and testing
