NMB Minebea UK Ltd, part of the multi-billion-pound MinebeaMitsumi Group, is seeking a Quality Inspection Supervisor to lead its Final Inspection team at its advanced manufacturing facility in Lincoln. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this role offers genuine influence over inspection standards, team performance, and continuous improvement across the shop floor. You will lead from the front — ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Improvement targets are consistently achieved.

Key Duties of the Quality Inspection Supervisor
  • Leadership & Team Supervision
  • Lead the Final Inspection team across both shifts (approx. 10 team members)
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and escalation support for inspection personnel
  • Drive effective shift communication to ensure priorities and quality alerts are understood
  • Act as a key interface between Quality Control and other departments
  • Inspection, Compliance & Technical Oversight
  • Ensure inspection processes comply with AS9100 and AS9102 aerospace requirements
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements accurately
  • Maintain robust inspection documentation and highlight non-conformities
  • Support resolution of dimensional or measurement issues with production and engineering
  • Continuous Improvement & Process Control
  • Drive 5S standards and workplace organisation
  • Support improvement initiatives using tools such as 8D, Kaizen, SPC, and Gauge R&R
  • Ensure inspection equipment is validated and fit for purpose
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and workload planning
