Pin Point Recruitment are currently recruiting for an AD Plant Operator on behalf of a well-established renewable energy and agricultural business based in Manningtree. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in plant operations, mechanical maintenance, agriculture, utilities, or industrial environments who is looking for a long-term role within a growing sector.

As an AD Plant Operator, you will support the safe and efficient running of the anaerobic digestion (AD) plant, ensuring operations are carried out effectively and in line with management instructions. You will be responsible for monitoring plant performance, carrying out maintenance tasks, supporting feed operations, and helping maintain high standards across health & safety and plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the AD plant in line with operational procedures and management instructions
  • Monitor plant performance and report findings to supervisors and management
  • Carry out accurate plant feeding processes
  • Participate in on-call duties when required
  • Support day-to-day plant operations to maintain efficient output
  • Carry out routine plant maintenance and inspections
  • Monitor overall plant health and performance
  • Assist with identifying faults and reporting maintenance issues promptly
  • Support preventative maintenance activities to minimise downtime
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets
  • Support a positive and proactive team environment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments where required

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience in plant operations, agriculture, industrial, mechanical, or process environments
  • Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow operational procedures
  • A flexible approach to work, including participation in on-call duties
  • A proactive and safety-conscious attitude
  • Experience within anaerobic digestion, biomass, farming, utilities, or renewable energy would be advantageous but is not essential.
