We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity within a highly technical industrial and engineering environment based in Oxfordshire. This role offers the chance to work on complex electrical systems, plant upgrades, maintenance projects, and engineering improvements within a large-scale operational facility.
The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering support across a range of operational and project activities. You will be involved in electrical design support, fault investigation, commissioning, maintenance planning, and technical problem solving within a safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support electrical engineering and maintenance activities across site
- Provide technical expertise for electrical systems and infrastructure
- Assist with design reviews, modifications, and upgrades
- Carry out fault finding and root cause analysis on electrical equipment
- Support commissioning and testing activities
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, regulations, and safe systems of work
- Liaise with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contractors
- Contribute to project delivery and operational reliability improvements
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience within industrial, manufacturing, process, or engineering environments
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution and control systems
- Experience with industrial plant equipment and maintenance practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience working within highly regulated or safety-critical environments
- HV/LV systems experience
- PLC, instrumentation, or control systems knowledge
- Commissioning or project engineering experience
- Previous experience on large industrial or research facilities
