We are on the lookout for an experienced Quality Inspector to oversee the construction quality and compliance of rooftop solar PV installations across our clients' UK project portfolio. You will ensure that the systems are installed in accordance with design, manufacturer requirements, and industry best practice. You'll play a key role in maintaining installation standards and supporting continuous improvement across delivery teams.
Requirements
- Min. 5 years' experience in the Solar PV industry, with strong knowledge of roof-mounted PV systems.
- Qualified Engineer / Electrician (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2391 / relevant Engineering degree).
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK (2–4 nights per week as required).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Desirable: Experience with European installation standards.
- Desirable: MCS, NICEIC, or equivalent accreditation experience.
- Desirable: CSCS, SSSTS, or other relevant H&S qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site quality inspections at various stages of construction.
- Verify compliance with electrical, structural, and H&S standards.
- Produce inspection reports and correction action recommendations.
- Work closely with the Engineering manager and Senior Project Manager, as well as liaising with site teams, Subcontractors and Site Managers.
- Support training and mentoring of site teams on quality and installation standards.
