Halton Housing is looking for 2 experienced Environmental Services Operatives to work across our vibrant organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in carrying out a range of horticultural and cleansing operations to open spaces and individual gardens, including litter picking, fly tipping, removal and environmental improvements.
  • Be proactive in reporting repairs, hazards, defects, fly tipping and any health and safety matters.
  • Carry out grass cutting operations, including hand, pedestrian-controlled and ride-on machines.
  • Prune and maintain hedgerows and shrub beds with hand tools and powered cutters, including soil preparation and mulching.

Qualifications

  • Full Driving Licence
  • NPTC Unit PA1 – Safe Use of Pesticides
  • NPTC Unit PA6 – Use of Handheld Applicator
  • Lantra or NPTC Use of Ride-on Rotary Mowers
  • Experience undertaking a full range of grounds maintenance activities and use of equipment
  • Understanding and awareness of Health and Safety Regulations
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
  • Ability to follow defined processes and procedures accurately and consistently
