World‑leading industrial gases and engineering company urgently require a Gas Quality Engineer.
Salary: £31,300 with a £1,500 increase following basic training (usually 6 months).
Location: Uttoxeter (with travel and occasional offshore/international work).
Hours: Mon to Fri.
Duration: Permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out performance evaluations on gas analysis equipment.
- Test gas emissions and calibrate instrumentation.
- Analyse collected data to produce high‑quality technical reports.
- Assist and coordinate with Sales, Logistics and other departments to ensure a seamless delivery of the service to the customers.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure competent use of databases and documentation systems in accordance with the quality system and technical processes.
- Prepare and maintain equipment ahead of site visits.
- Collect and analyse technical data.
- Produce clear and professional technical reports.
- Liaise with customers and deliver excellent on‑site service.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
- Strong academic background.
- Ideally GCSEs / A-levels in Maths and Science (an advantage).
- Strong initiative, with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK (some offshore/international work required).
- Full UK driving licence essential.
