World‑leading industrial gases and engineering company urgently require a Gas Quality Engineer.

Salary: £31,300 with a £1,500 increase following basic training (usually 6 months).

Location: Uttoxeter (with travel and occasional offshore/international work).

Hours: Mon to Fri.

Duration: Permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out performance evaluations on gas analysis equipment.
  • Test gas emissions and calibrate instrumentation.
  • Analyse collected data to produce high‑quality technical reports.
  • Assist and coordinate with Sales, Logistics and other departments to ensure a seamless delivery of the service to the customers.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure competent use of databases and documentation systems in accordance with the quality system and technical processes.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment ahead of site visits.
  • Collect and analyse technical data.
  • Produce clear and professional technical reports.
  • Liaise with customers and deliver excellent on‑site service.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background.
  • Ideally GCSEs / A-levels in Maths and Science (an advantage).
  • Strong initiative, with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK (some offshore/international work required).
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
