Birchwell Associates is recruiting for an experienced Solar Electrician to join a growing renewable energy contractor delivering Solar PV and battery storage projects across Devon and the surrounding areas. This is a hands-on position suited to a qualified electrician with strong installation, testing and fault-finding experience who is looking to build or continue a career within the renewable energy sector.
The Role
You will be responsible for electrical works across Solar PV and battery storage installations, working across a mixture of domestic and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems
- Battery storage installation
- Inverter installation and connection
- AC electrical works associated with renewable energy systems
- Testing, inspection and certification
- Fault finding and remedial works
- Consumer unit and electrical upgrades where required
- Working from electrical drawings and specifications
- Ensuring installations comply with BS 7671 and relevant industry standards
- Completing work to a high standard while maintaining excellent health and safety practices
- Liaising with customers, site teams and project management
What We're Looking For
- 18th Edition
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
- Relevant Level 3 electrical qualification / apprenticeship
- Strong electrical installation experience
- Experience with Solar PV installations
- Good testing and fault-finding ability
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with battery storage, inverters and renewable energy systems
- Would be highly advantageous.
