Role Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for estimating a range of hard landscaping projects for the commercial sector, managing the full tender life-cycle, and ensuring accurate quotations for operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating hard landscaping projects for commercial sectors
- Interpreting client requirements, specifications and scope of works
- Managing the full tender life‑cycle from start to finish
- Populating tender documents and producing quotations
- Handing over quotations to the Operations team for follow‑up
- Manipulating data from pricing schedules in Excel
- Obtaining price lists from suppliers when required
- Maintaining documentation of tenders and quotations in the internal database
Typical project value ranges from £1m – £10m
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of estimating experience in the landscaping or civil sector
- Strong background in hard landscaping or civil works (highly advantageous)
- Experience working with Tier‑1 contractors, build‑to‑print contractors and commercial customers
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong analytical, numerical and commercial aptitude
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, constantly evolving environment
- Self‑motivated, driven, able to work autonomously and as part of a team
