I'm currently supporting a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Sheffield that is looking to appoint a Civil Design Engineer to join their growing team. You’ll be joining a highly regarded civil engineering team, working on a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial development projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Design infrastructure schemes including highways, drainage, and external works
  • Produce technical drawings and detailed design packages using industry-standard software
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Attend meetings and represent the business in a professional capacity
  • Contribute to design decisions and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in infrastructure design (highways and drainage), with flexibility on level depending on the individual
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, MicroDrainage or similar
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • An interest in professional development, with support available towards Chartership
