  • Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil / Structural BIM Technician to join a growing multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering projects across the defence and nuclear sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within highly regulated environments, supporting major UK defence establishments, nuclear facilities, and infrastructure programmes.

The role offers flexibility with both remote and office-based working options available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and develop 3D BIM models using Revit.
  • Generate high‑quality 2D drawings including layouts, sections, elevations and general arrangements from 3D models.
  • Work closely with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to capture and deliver design requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the design process.
  • Support the implementation and continuous development of BIM processes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with BIM standards, including ISO 19650.
  • Utilise Common Data Environments (CDEs) and quality assurance procedures throughout project delivery.
  • Coordinate effectively with Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP disciplines.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Revit, Auto CAD and Navisworks.
  • Experience producing 3D CAD models within a BIM environment.
  • Understanding of Civil and Structural engineering principles.
  • Ability and willingness to support multidisciplinary design activities.
  • Experience working within highly regulated industries is desirable.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650), CDEs and QA processes.
  • HND, HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.

Desirable Experience

  • Defence, Nuclear, Maritime or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience working within secure project environments.
  • Multi‑discipline coordination experience.
  • Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be sole UK nationals and willing to obtain BPSS security clearance.
