Alecto Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking a qualified engineer for a leading provider of plumbing, heating and renewable energy services throughout Reading, South Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a Gas Qualified Heating Engineer.
- Perform breakdown, service, maintenance and repair works for domestic gas boilers and heating systems.
- Handle landlord certificates and related documentation.
- Work in private and domestic homes.
- Progress into air source heat pump and renewable heating systems.
Salary & Package:
- Basic Salary of £40k per annum based on a 40-hour week.
- Bonus/Profit Share – opportunity to earn £50k‑£60k overall.
- Company Van (including private use).
- Callout 1 in 9.
- All tools provided.
- Annual leave increased with tenure.
- Birthday off.
Skills Required:
- Gas Safe Registered / Domestic ACS Gas certificates (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, etc.).
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a domestic gas engineer.
- Strong experience in service, repair and breakdown of gas and heating appliances.
- Oil boiler experience or OFTEC registration desirable but not essential.
