Civil Engineer – Infrastructure & Drainage

Full Time | Location: Witney, Oxfordshire | Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will work alongside an experienced team of engineers on a range of infrastructure and drainage schemes, contributing to projects from initial feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and delivery.

• Preparing infrastructure designs for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
• Designing surface water and foul drainage systems, including drainage strategies and associated calculations.
• Producing technical drawings, design reports and supporting documentation.
• Using relevant design software to develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Liaising with colleagues, clients, local authorities and other project stakeholders.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, guidance and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting project delivery and managing design tasks to meet agreed deadlines.

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least two years’ relevant experience in civil engineering consultancy, ideally within infrastructure and drainage design.
• A good understanding of infrastructure design principles, including surface water and foul drainage.
• Experience using relevant civil engineering design software, CAD, Civils 3D, microdrainage or infodrainage.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach and a desire to continue developing your engineering career.
• Experience working on development-related infrastructure projects and knowledge of relevant drainage standards and design guidance would be particularly beneficial.
