Overview
Fixed Term - Full Time (16 Months) – Gas Engineer position in Westminster Gas. Responsible for delivering safe, compliant, high‑quality service across our social housing portfolio.
About the Role
Your primary duties will include gas servicing, repairs and installations in occupied and void properties, providing excellent customer service while adhering to relevant regulations, standards and organisational procedures.
The role is mainly based in void properties but occasionally requires breakdowns and servicing.
Key tasks include carrying out gas repairs such as radiator and valve replacement, gas runs, and meter cap offs.
You will also complete RAMS documentation, maintain a tidy and respectful workspace, and complete assigned tasks using a handheld device with full training.
Responsibilities
- Deliver first‑time‑fix performance in occupied and void properties.
- Perform gas breakdowns, installations, cyclical maintenance and compliance checks.
- Ensure safety standards, health & safety, RAMS and documentation are upheld.
- Maintain a tidy and respectful workspace within homes.
- Use handheld device to receive and complete tasks.
Qualifications
- Current ACS accreditation in CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1 Gas Safe Card, HTR1 and JIB‑PMES CSCS Card Blue, or working towards them.
- Strong experience in gas breakdowns, installations, cyclical maintenance and compliance within a social housing environment.
- Valid full or automatic UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
- Experience with domestic plumbing, asbestos awareness, DAH1 is advantageous but not essential.
