As a Gas Engineer, you will play a key part in making sure our gas designs are practical, compliant, and ready for adoption. You will review projects against industry standards and our accreditations, working closely with Gas Transporters and internal teams to ensure the best outcomes for our sites. You will also support the development of our design team, share your expertise and help them grow in confidence and capability.

Responsibilities:
- Review and technically approve gas quotations, designs and project documentation to ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, upstream network operator specifications and Last Mile adoption criteria.
- Carry out formal design and variation approval checks, providing authorised engineer sign off to confirm designs are technically sound, fit for purpose and ready for delivery.
- Assess and validate CAD drawings, engineering reports and supporting approval packs, identifying risks, required amendments and improvements to maintain quality and compliance.
- Provide clear technical feedback and guidance to designers, supporting continuous improvement across quotations, design approvals and variation submissions.
- Support the development of the design function by maintaining technical standards, managing escalations, and contributing to training, coaching and progression of the design team.
Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Gas Design Engineer
- Relevant Engineering Degree
- Chartered Engineer
