Environmental Manager in Lairg, United Kingdom

ProMatch is exclusively recruiting for an experienced Environmental Manager to lead and develop the environmental management, compliance and sustainability activities across our Clients marine and freshwater operations. This is a key role within the business, offering the opportunity to influence environmental strategy, work closely with regulators and stakeholders, and help drive the highest standards of responsible aquaculture.

About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Environmental Manager will be responsible for overseeing the businesses environmental management systems, regulatory compliance activities and accreditation programmes. Working across the business, this role will collaborate with colleagues in Technical, Production, Finance and Sales, while maintaining strong relationships with regulators, external contractors and industry bodies.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home while regularly visiting the company's marine and freshwater farming sites across the North West of Scotland. All business-related travel and associated expenses will be fully covered.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and developing environmental management initiatives across marine and freshwater operations.
• Maintaining and enhancing the Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Coordinating environmental accreditation schemes and associated audits.
• Monitoring environmental performance and ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinating statutory returns and communications with regulatory bodies.
