Where you will be working At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the essential energy to support our lives. We provide an end‑to‑end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Electricity Transmission department. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400 kV and construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.
Duration: Four months over the summer. Opportunity for a student studying or recent graduate to build practical experience, work on a real project and develop their technical and professional skills with support from an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities- Working with multi‑disciplinary teams to track progress across the construction site
- Undertake measurement and as‑built survey works
- Support in quality and activity tracking and management (including the use of CAD)
- Working towards or achieved a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Valid UK driving licence
- Effective communication skills
- Keen to learn with an interest in development and progression
