My client is looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join the team and work on one of their leading supermarket contracts. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining and repairing commercial heating systems and air conditioning units, as well as completing reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs during regular store visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across a number of sites.
- Service and repair mechanical equipment such as boilers, fans, pumps, AHU’s, FCU’s.
- Carry out minor alterations and installations within technical competence and in accordance with current specifications.
- Order spares as per laid‑down procedures.
- Identify non‑repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the HVAC supervisor with recommendations for suitable replacement.
Qualifications & Experience
- SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical/HVAC or an equivalent qualification.
- ACS Commercial Gas qualifications: COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A as a minimum.
