Civil Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer - Cambridge
I'm working with a highly regarded engineering consultancy that is looking to strengthen its
Cambridge team
with the appointment of a Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer.
The consultancy has an excellent reputation and a strong pipeline of work across the
residential, commercial, retail, education, healthcare and regeneration sectors , delivering infrastructure solutions from planning through to detailed design and construction.

The role offers excellent scope to take ownership of projects while working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, with opportunities to develop your technical and project management experience.
The Role
You’ll support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of development infrastructure projects across Cambridge, the wider region and the UK.
Responsibilities will include:
- Designing highways and drainage infrastructure including
- S38, S278, S104 agreements, SuDS, earthworks and site levels .
- Producing detailed infrastructure designs using
- Civil 3D
- together with
- InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow or similar
- software.
- Working closely with architects, planners, clients and local authorities to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
- Managing projects through planning and detailed design while ensuring technical quality and programme delivery.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where appropriate.
- Working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality development infrastructure projects.
What We're Looking For
Consultancy experience delivering UK development infrastructure projects.
Strong background in highways and drainage design for residential and commercial developments.
