Overview
Field Service Engineer - Generators and Compressors.
On-call rota: 1 in 4.
Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair generators (up to 201400 k VA) and compressors at customer sites.
- Diagnose faults, replace parts and conduct effective mechanical repairs.
- Work on fleets fitted with telematics; equipment is fully compatible with Com Ap or Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) panels.
- Attend breakdowns, complete planned maintenance and aim for first-time fix where possible.
- Liaise professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Follow Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hands-on experience in fault finding and repairs.
- Experience servicing/repairing generators, compressors or similar plant/equipment.
- Good IT skills (including Microsoft Office).
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to cover overtime and participate in the on-call rota.
- Commitment to supporting the ESG strategy.
Desirable/Additional Information
